Course Overview:
The Tech-Lab at HRHS introduces and helps engage students to the design process and the tools used in product
development. Students will experience first‐hand the activities in which engineers engage
throughout the design cycle. Development of design briefs, sketching, 3D solid modeling, and
prototyping through computer‐aided drafting are part of the course, as well as Robotics.
Students will have the opportunity to learn ways in which design techniques apply to many fields,
such as healthcare, business, art and animation, manufacturing, engineering, etc. Problem‐solving and math as it
applies to producing products and services for today’s society are emphasized.
Projects and assessments will be sampled from the Technology Student Association(TSA).
