Hello & Welcome!

Hello,

My name is Mrs. Mallory and I am delighted to be your child's teacher! I am eager to meet your family. We will have a great year full of exploring, laughter, and learning.

I have a very hands on approach to teaching and my background in project based education means that we will spend a lot of time exploring and demonstrating our learning through creating projects.

This is my sixth year in education and my fourth year at Flagstone Elementary. I absolutely LOVE what I do. I never tire of learning new things with my students.

I am a huge advocate for growth in myself and others. The opportunity to share my love of learning while instilling grit and a solid work ethic is a responsibility I find joy in.

One of my favorite quotes is, "Be who you needed when you were younger" and I strive daily to ensure that I am just that for my students. I really struggled in school growing up. I never felt like I was seen as an individual. I went in to teaching to make a difference in the lives of my students that I wish I had as a child.

I am from Puyallup, Washington. I moved to Colorado at 12 years old and have loved calling it home ever since! The mountains are my favorite part of living in Colorado. In my free time, I often find myself hiking, sailing or canoeing with my husband. I also love cooking, running, and painting!

I hold a whole-hearted open door policy, so please do not hesitate to contact me! It makes my day to hear from families. I can be reached by email at CjMallory@dcsdk12.org.

I hope you had a fantastic summer and are ready for a wonderful year in second grade & third grade!

Mrs. Mallory
