Play Analysis
Please answer each question with at least three complete sentences

Radio Play: Sorry Wrong Number
Take the following notes:
Names of characters with one word to describe each.
List sound effects and the purpose of each.
Explain the story line by writing three sentences each for Beginning, Middle and End of the radio play.
1.-The first couple of weeks are about ensemble building. The whole point is to get to know each other and begin to trust each other so that performing in front of the class will not be as scarry.
-We will tell a story about a strong memory
-We will memorize each other's names
-We will play games that will allow laughter to be part of our class.
2.-The next unit will focus on our voice. Students will study the voice and understand how to strengthen their voices.
-Perform a poem that should be at least one minute long and focus on projection, inflection and articulation.
-3.The radio play unit allows them to work in a group to write a story and perform it as a radio play.
-The radio play needs to have a beginning, middle ,end and be minimum five minutes long. The will create commercials that include jingles.
4. Parts of the stage will include a written test labeling the parts of the stage and possitions on stage.
5.-After the voice, we focus on using the face and body to communicate. We begin with pantomime. Students begin to understand the importance of facial expression and exageration of movement. They will learn some mime skilss.
-The project will be a pantomime that includes four mime skills each performer, a beginning. middle and end, and exageration of facial expressions and gestures.
6.. Students continue learning communication through body movement with stage combat.
-Students will perform a scene that will include strikes and blocks of both hand to hand and sword combat.
7. Improvisation will include games that teach students to listen and work together, and think quickly.
8.Monologue/Group Scenes is a culmination of everything the students have learned.
-Monologue and Scenes. should be at least a minute long and be from a movie, play, or book. Students need to include gestures and facial expressions in their performances.
