What are Progress Monitoring Assessments?
The Colorado Department of Education provides the following information regarding progress monitoring:
"Progress monitoring assessments are also brief, but are given periodically to determine whether students are making adequate progress. Progress monitoring assessment data should be collected, evaluated, and used on an ongoing basis for the following purposes:

Progress monitoring assessments are formative assessments that provide teachers feedback about student learning successes and failures, as well as the effectiveness of instructional practices and interventions.
