NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT
ENROLLMENT DURING THE SUMMER
for the 2023 - 2024 schoolyear
If you are new to the area, please be sure that Cimarron Middle School is your home school by clicking on the boundary map. It will give you a general idea and we can confirm for you.
If you have recently moved to Douglas County and you will be living within Cimarron Middle School boundaries, please visit DCSD Student
Enrollment to use DCSD Online Registration (the OLR – orange and green icon). This is for students that will be new to our school district. Summer Registrars handle enrollments at the District level.
OLR services are Monday – Thursday 8am – 3pm thru July 26, 2023

*OLR is only used for your neighborhood school. If you would like to Open Enroll to Cimarron, please apply at Choice Programming. Open Enrollment is open through 4pm August 3, 2023.

*If you currently live in Cimarron's boundaries, but your student is enrolled at a charter or other choice school, and you did not turn in an Intent to Return for the 23-24 schoolyear by January 10, 2023, you will need to apply for open enrollment.
*Open enrollment is required if you would like to attend Cimarron Middle School but you live in the boundaries of another DCSD middle school.
Open Enrollment closes 4pm August 3, 2023. Thank you for considering Cimarron Middle School.
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
Students new to DCSD and new to the Cimarron neighborhood must submit the following for enrollment:
Proof of residency in Cimarron's attendance area; please submit one of the following:
- Deed of Trust
- Warranty Deed
- Current Signed Lease Agreement
- Property Tax Notice
- Purchase Agreement (this is temporary; MUST be followed up with deed once the home has closed)
- Notarized Proof of Residence
2. Government Issued ID (Driver's License or Passport) of adult registering student
3. Student Birth Certificate
4. Copy of withdrawal grades from previous school if transferring during the school year
5. Transcripts or Last Report Card
6. Proof of Immunizations (required by Colorado law)
7. Current ALP, IEP or 504 Plan, if applicable
8. Court Documentation (Custody Agreement, Parenting Plan, etc.) if student does not reside with both parents

Students currently enrolled in DCSD but new to the Cimarron neighborhood must submit the following for enrollment:

During the schoolyear, the first day of school is typically three days after all required documents and forms are received.
