A little bit about me.....
Welcome to Kindergarten!
My name is Christina Bergin and I am so very excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year. We will have a fun, exciting, adventure-filled year together! I love teaching and this will be my 22nd year as a classroom teacher. This will be my 7th year in Kindergarten, and I have also taught 2nd grade and 3rd grade. I have bachelor's degrees in Child Psychology and Early Childhood Education, a master’s degree in Literacy Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and teaching license endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education. I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Mammoth Heights family and absolutely love our school community. My favorite part of teaching is getting to know each child as his or her own special self and seeing eyes light up when something new is learned, which is a huge part of Kindergarten!
I am married and have two children who both attend local schools in DCSD. We have quite a variety of pets in our house--Sadie (a sweet German Shepherd mix), Kai (a very enthusiastic puppy), Everest (he's a horse!), and 3 little ponds full of goldfish. When I am not teaching, my favorite activities include trying out new recipes, camping, traveling to new places, geocaching, reading, and spending time with my family.

My personal mission for this school year is to establish positive, personalized relationships with all of my students and families. I am committed to creating a safe, restorative environment that ensures that all of my kindergarteners will grow and flourish in their new learning, will feel valued and cared for, and will love coming to school each and every day.
