Suicide Prevention

"Signs of Suicide (SOS)" curriculum is presented each semester in Healthy Decisions classes. The "More Than Sad" curriculum is presented in the Relationships classes each semester. Students are screened for depression in both of these classes. Monthly prevention topics are reported to students, staff, and parents through the parent bulletin, staff bulletin, homeroom classes, and student announcements. All counseling and mental health staff at HRHS are trained in suicide assessments to help students in crisis.
