We are off to great places in reading intervention. I am excited for this year. Together we will navigate this new learning and have some fun along the way!
I have been teaching at Arrowwood for over a decade and am passionate about helping students become confident, capable readers. As a reading interventionist I work with students to build the foundational skills they need to succeed-academically and beyond.
I believe in creating a supportive, engaging and personalized learning enviornment where every student can grow.
Data Informed Instruction:
I use ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to identify needs and provide instruction that meets each student where they are.
Small Group Support:
Focused small groups that build that build confidence, independence and love of reading.
Collaboration:
I continuously partner with classroom teachers and families to support student growth and celebrate progress.
I build strong relationships and create a safe space where students feel seen, heard, and empowered to take risks.
I use proven instructional strategies and high-quality resources aligned with the Science of Reading.
I make reading relevant and engaging through texts students love and lessons that connect to their lives.
I encourage perseverance and celebrate small wins as we work towards big goals together.
