ABOUT US

Janae Ballingham has been teaching since 1996, in South Lake Tahoe, CA and in Douglas County. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in physical education /biology and an emphasis in coaching. She has her Master's degree in teaching with an emphasis in National Board Certified Teaching from National University. She is Nationally Board Certified, 2001, and renewed in 2011. She is married with three children and loves to snowboard and play beach volleyball.


Andrew Davis has been teaching since 1990, in Nevada and mostly with Douglas County. Mr. Davis spend 9 years in California and Washington. He graduated from Central Washington University with a BA in Special Education and BA Ed. in Health. He has one son who attends a Douglas County school. He enjoys outdoor sports, traveling and spending time with his son.


Heather Van Dyke has been teaching since 2000, three in Chico, CA, One year at South Lake Tahoe High School. The rest at Douglas County School District. She graduated from Chico State University with a BA in Physical Education. She has a Master's degree from Chico State University in Exercise Science and Kinesiology. Heather has two boys and coaches many different sports.

Corey Thacker has been teaching since 2001, six at Spring Creek HS, and the rest in Douglas County. He graduated from Albertson College of Idaho (currently College of Idaho) with a BS in Physical Education and a coaching minor. He has a Master's degree from Grand Canyon University in Education Administration. Mr. Thacker is the current Varsity Basketball coach at DHS. Along with coaching basketball Coach Thacker has coached Football, Track & Field, Golf, & Tennis. He is married with two children and enjoys playing basketball, golfing and coaching.


Morgan Ovard has been teaching since 2013. Morgan's first 8 years of teaching were split between Carson Middle School and Carson High School. He graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno with a BA in Psychology. He has a Master's Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Physical Education from Northern Arizona University. Mr. Ovard has coached football for eight years and is currently coaching JV Football at DHS. In his spare time he enjoys snowboarding, camping, traveling, Giants Baseball, and spending time with his wife Jaqueline and two daughters Sierra and Zoey.
