Abridged Autobiography

I was born in Turlock, Ca and having lived 15 years there, my mother and I relocated our lives to Walnut Creek, Ca where I graduated from Northgate High School. Then of course being the black sheep of the family, as they say, after high school I decided to take the road less traveled. I attended Diablo Valley College then took a travel break to experience South America by working a bit and backpacking throughout South American countries. Returning to the U.S. and motivated to excel and focus in my education I enrolled at Cuesta Community College in SLO, Ca. Still not really knowing my path, I of course went on another educational experience, to Central America and parts of Europe for a better part of a year. Thus again I returned to my studies determined to focus on my education, but this time at San Diego State University. The love of reading steered me towards a major in Comparative Literature. Once I graduated with my B.A.S I had to return to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Ca, it was just too beautiful not to, for my Secondary Credential in English.

After much thinking, Florida seemed like a desirable place to settle in for some years to teach, start a family and get married. Thinking I did not have enough to occupy my time I went back to school for my MA in Education while working with a 1 and 2 year old in the mix. That was a fun couple of years:} After 10 years in Delray Beach, FL the West kept calling out to me.

So, here I am today with 2 lovely, energetic little ladies, a sweet dog and my handsome husband.
