Ms. Boger
Welcome to second grade! My name is Cindy Boger. I love my career as an educator. It fills my heart with joy to experience children's aha moments as they learn. Additionally, I love how children teach me. Strategies and ideas that they share never cease to amaze me!
Davie County Schools has been my employer since 1995. I have taught at Cornatzer Elementary since 2009. I earned my degrees from Appalachian State University. My degrees are a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Educational Media .
My husband, Mark, works at Trailers of the East Coast. We have a daughter, Rebecca. She and her husband, Andrew live in Durham along with their two dogs. We have a son, Jared. He and his girlfriend, Lola, live in Asheville along with their two cats. We also have two dogs, Wally and Stella, and three cats, Millie, Alley, and Iris.
I believe in open communication with parents. When we work together we are better able to help our children achieve great things. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Hello! I am so excited that we are together again this year! Our 2nd grade year is going to be amazing! I look forward to another fun and educational year with you and your child. Second grade is a year filled with many changes in your child's academic and social development. I am honored to be a part of it! I feel one way to make this a great year is to have an open line of communication. My door is always open to you. Please don't hesitate to contact me via email, phone or classdojo to discuss a matter or set up at time to meet. I'm looking forward to a great year!
I am entering my 23rd year of teaching! My husband and I moved to Davie County in 1998. We are originally from western New York. My husband, Jeremy, is also an educator. He teaches 6th grade Social Studies and Language Arts at North Davie Middle. We have two children, Nate (17) and Reagan (15). Nate is a senior in high school this year and is an avid athlete. He loves all things sports related. He runs Cross Country and track at Davie High. Our daughter, Reagan is a sophomore at Davie High. Reagan is a member of the Davie Dancing Boots Team.
We have one four-legged child named Ripley. He is a 3 year old chocolate lab. He is a sweet doggy with lots of energy. The kids hear lots of stories about Ripley's adventures.
When I'm not watching my kids at their sporting events I enjoy just hanging out with my family, reading, being outdoors, walking the dog, hiking and crafting.

My husband and I moved to Davie County five years ago to be closer to family. We love the small town charm of Mocksville and are enjoying Davie County very much. I absolutely love animals and we have many different kinds of animals in our home. Our pets include, 1 dog, 1 cat, 2 turtles, 1 lizard, and 2 frogs. We also have a little boy named Bennett who turned two in June. He lights up every day and makes us proud! We are expecting our second son in early February! After my maternity leave, I will be coming back to finish the year.
When I am not at school I enjoy reading, going to local festivals with family and friends, and taking my dog to the park.
