Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to 6th-grade advanced ELA! This is the start of a new season for each of you. Students, you will enjoy middle school. Parents, you will as well, but you may see different sides of your child that you have never seen before. Just remember back to when you were in middle school.

As a mother of three who are in their twenties, I know that students' personalities can be challenging. Some of you may think, "Where did my sweet child go?" Well, I saw my own sweet children again in the tenth and eleventh grade. If you have any concerns about anything, feel free to email or call me. I'm here to listen and try to give you some comfort.
