To Our Friends of the Casey Schulman Foundation,
On behalf of the Shine on Casey Golf Tournament Committee, we want to express our sincere thanks to all who attended “the dress rehearsal” for the golf tournament Friday, September 28th at the 1757 Golf Club. Unfortunately, if you were there, you know that the 5th Shine on Casey Golf Tournament fell victim of the inordinate heavy rainfall of the last few weeks. The course was closed early and never recovered from the more than 3 feet of sitting water on critical areas of the cart paths. As an example of what occurred, see the attached photo of the cart path leading from the first hole to the second.
The great news is the tournament has been rescheduled for Friday, October 26th at the same course (1757 Golf Club) with a 9:00AM shotgun start. Registration will begin at 7:30 and breakfast will begin to be served at that time. All aspects of the tournament will remain the same. The silent auction was “frozen” at the time that the announcement was made postponing the tournament. The silent auction will be displayed at the tournament with all of the bid sheets back on the auction table. If you previously bid on an item, your name will still be there.
If you purchased mulligan tickets (white tickets) which will be used to select door prizes, or if you purchased the poker golf play, your purchases will remain valid and can be used on October 26th. While a final decision has not been made, the committee is leaning toward reissuing Poker Golf envelopes and white mulligan tickets to those who previously purchased them. You will have the option to make additional purchases for both if you desire. We will also have a new 50/50 raffle as well.
If you did not receive your shirt, let us know and we will provide you one on the 26th. Only a few shirts went unclaimed.
In order to ensure that we have a smooth registration process, we ask that you please let us know by responding to this email if your foursome will be present on October 26 and the golfers in your foursome will remain unchanged. Given the change in date, we understand and expect that not all of the same golfers will be able to attend and new golfers will be added. Sending us replacement names in advance of the tournament will facilitate a smoother registration process.

Finally, if you wish to receive a refund for your golfer registration fee, we will be glad to provide one. Please respond to this email asking for a refund.
The Casey Schulman Foundation welcomes your return to what we hope will be an ideal weather day for the tournament. We thank you for all that you’ve done to support the tournament and the foundation and we look forward to seeing you October 26th.
