All About Mrs. Takovich

Hello! Welcome to my page and thanks for coming!

I was born and raised in Maryland and have only lived there--until I made the big move to Connecticut in 2015! For school, I went to Towson University to get a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. A few years later, I went to McDaniel College to get a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. While in MD, I taught third Grade for 4 years and fifth grade for 3 years, all at the same school. The year I moved up to CT, I worked as a long-term substitute in a 5th grade class and then a 4th grade class. For the last trimester, I was a building sub and covered classes K-5, PE, Music, Art, and rekindled my love of helping out in the Library.

When I'm not at school, I love going on adventures to new places, trying new (sometimes scary) things, and staying active through sports. Some sports I've especially enjoyed are snowboarding, football (go Ravens!), softball, yoga, bicycling, and running. In the Summer of 2016, I even became a certified scuba diver and found a new love for exploring a whole new environment! In the spare time I have left, I also enjoy cooking, reading, and doing puzzles.

I have been having so much fun getting to know the surrounding area better and I look forward to learning all about the Ox Ridge community that has already been so inviting!
