The summer months are very busy at all DPS buildings. Our custodians work extremely hard to clean and prepare our schools for the upcoming year. In addition, this is the time for construction projects. Below is a recap of some of the larger projects completed at our school buildings this summer.
DANBURY HIGH SCHOOL
HAYESTOWN AVENUE
PHOTO HIGHLIGHTS
Media center carpet replaced
C-wing office constructed in the Seminar room
As part of the two year expansion project of DHS, the following was completed this summer:
Fire alarm replaced
Code compliant grease trap in kitchen replaced
North end parking lot completed
Sprinkler system installed in remaining areas of the building
Underground oil tank removed and replace with above ground tank
Front sidewalk and entrance repaired
KING STREET PRIMARY
Media center carpet replaced
Wall partition installed to divide one classroom into two
MORRIS STREET
ROGERS PARK MIDDLE SCHOOL
Hallway carpeting replaced with VCT
VCT installed in 4 classrooms and offices
Hallways and classrooms painted
1200 sq feet of hallway flooring abated and replaced with VCT
One classroom floor replaces with VCT
MILL RIDGE PRIMARY
All classroom faucets replaced
BROADVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL
PARK AVE
Gym was painted, and gym floor screened and recoated
Expansion tank for hot water was replaced
ESL carpeting replaced
Gym floor refinished
AIS MAGNET SCHOOL
PEMBROKE
Artificial playground surface repaired
Principal's office carpeting replaced and office access reconfigured
Tile replaced on ramp by cafeteria
Two carpeted classroom floors replaced with VCT

Sidewalks repaired
new "ACE" sign installed

Media Center carpeting replaced

Office built in media center

New tile and walk off matting installed main entrance
Carpeting on stage and in main office replaced
Vinyl tile installed in nurses offices
Walk off matting installed in main entrance
Principal's office carpeting replaced
STADLEY ROUGH
Gym floor partially abated and synthetic floor installed
Gym painted
Hallway counters and sinks replaced
