Broadview School Based Health Center (SBHC)
The Broadview School Based Health Center (SBHC) is located in the lower level of the school. The SBHC is separate from the school nurse’s office. The SBHC offers medical and mental health services. Our goal is to keep parents at work and kids at school. The SBHC is staffed by a nurse practitioner, a social worker, and an office manager.
MEDICAL
A nurse practitioner is an independent medical provider with a license to perform annual physicals, diagnose illnesses, order labs or tests, and write prescriptions.
Medical Services Offered:
Treatment of acute illnesses like strep throat, ear infections, sinus infections, and pneumonia.
Treatment of chronic illnesses like asthma.
Treatment of injuries.
Health education and counseling.
Annual physical exams and vaccines as necessary.
MENTAL HEALTH
Mental Health Services Offered:
Individual, family and group therapy for an array of issues including, stress, anxiety, peer problems, family problems, divorce, and grief & loss.
Crisis Intervention.
Community resources and referrals.
Please fill out a PERMISSION FORM for your child to receive our services (see links above).
We do ask for a medical history and insurance information. We do charge insurances, but you will never have to pay any out-of-pocket costs including co-pays, rejected claims or deductibles. If your child is uninsured we do provide services free of charge.
