Summer Math

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The District 64 math teachers have developed an optional math packet for students to complete throughout the summer. Students in the C of C math program will receive instructions from their teachers regarding their summer math packets (but can still follow the link below to access their material). It is highly recommended that students complete the appropriate summer packet for their grade level and class in order to retain the skills learned throughout the school year. The packets can be downloaded here:  Math Packets

This packet is optional but highly recommended. Teachers suggest that students:

-Complete the packet throughout the summer, doing a few problems each week.

-Show their work for the problems and use a calculator only when absolutely necessary.

-Use their notes, their online textbook (available all summer), and other online resources to refresh their memory on math topics covered in the packet.

All students are also encouraged to also utilize IXL (www.ixl.com/signin/parkridge) and work through their grade level to keep concepts fresh. Students can also reference their IXL Course Alignments that are posted on the D64 math website.

Students can login to IXL through Clever.

Helpful websites:

-D64 Math website: https://sites.google.com/a/d64.org/d64-math/ - PDFs of the summer math packets, math games, math tutorials, and other resources.

-Textbook: Students can access their digital textbook by logging into their Google account and selecting ConnectEd from the menu. - Full access to the previous school year’s textbook and video tutorials of every lesson.

Thank you,

The District 64 Math Teachers
