Create your own ceramic container using slab construction techniques. Project designs include a main body, a lid with a decorative handle, feet, and surface details to show a theme. Glaze techniques are used to colorize the surface.
Blocks of stone are reduced to display a symbolic or iconic form. Files are used in this subtractive process.
Design a sculptural environment that displays a human character of your choice. Human proportions are applied using wire, plaster, and other materials and objects.
Cardboard and other recyclable materials are used to create an expressive sculptural art piece.
These relief ceramic sculptures demonstrate understanding of basic facial proportions, clay manipulation, texture, and glaze.
Experience throwing on the pottery wheel. Attempt to create basic forms and then graduate to more complex attempts.
Use the drape mold technique to transform a slab into a hollow sphere of clay in order to create a one-of-a-kind decorative tea pot.
Use nothing more than your hands to create an advanced version of the classic pinch pot.
