Traveling the Ancient World

Welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies!  This year, we will travel to a variety of different ancient worlds including Mesopotamia, Egypt, Canaan, Kush, India, China, Greece and Rome.  Throughout each journey, you will learn how much of our modern world was shaped by the achievements of these great civilizations.  Moreover, in examining the art, architecture, religion, government, politics, warfare, technology and economy of each ancient region, you will  gain an appreciation of who they are and where they’ve come from.
