Homework Procedure
Homework problems will be assigned daily. Each chapter has a reading guide, a problem set from the book for students to practice communicating their process, and a MyMathLab assignment.
Reading Guides must be completed before the discussion of that chapter.
Textbook Problems will be completed on notebook paper* and handed in at the end of each chapter. Grade is based on completeness.
MyMathLab is the AP Stats version of MathXL. Unless told otherwise, you will be able to try a problem as many times as you want. Grade is based on the correctness score provided by the platform.
College Board AP Practice will most likely be taking the place of the AP Practice Take-home tests I assign each unit. Grading will be on correctness. Other details TBA.
Obtaining Missed work
eLearning: Attendance will be taken every day that a class has a Google Meet scheduled and entered into Skyward as normal. If a student misses their Google Meet, they are expected to access the videos of the session(s) they missed and complete the accompanying work -- These materials will be posted in the Classwork Section of our Google Classroom as well as on the calendar embedded into Classroom.
If you’ve watched the class you missed and are still struggling, please email me or sign up for office hours so I can help you catch up. Homework is due at 11:59pm on the due date, make sure that it is submitted on time whether you are present for the class Meet or not. Missed assessments will be addressed on an individual basis.
Make-up work (eLearning & Face to Face)
It is the student’s responsibility to make up work missed (i.e. quizzes, tests, notes, homework) due to absence. Be sure to talk to me the day you return about what you will need to make up. If you are going on a field trip you should talk to me BEFORE the absence. Please see the student handbook for timing on completing absent work.
Late Work
Late work will be accepted until the summative assessment; however, the score will be penalized.
