Todd Weimer, Head Varsity Coach
This is Weimer’s 14th season as a head coach at St. Charles North. In his career, he has helped the program achieve their first conference championship in school history in 2011 while earning his first regional title as a coach in his inaugural season at North in 2010. The program came off their best finish in school history by winning Conference, Regionals, Sectionals, and placing 3rd place in state at Hoffman Estate in 2013. For the 9th year in a row, the varsity squads received the "AVCA Team Academic Award" where all members of the varsity team held a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher for the entire school year. We are one of five high school programs in the state of Illinois to earn this recognition. His first coaching gig was 5th grade boys volleyball at St. Pat’s in St. Charles and continued on at IMSA, Genoa Kingston, St. Charles East, and Kaneland. Currently, Weimer teaches 6th-8th grade Physical Education and Health at Kaneland Harter Middle School in Sugar Grove. He is also a Certified Volleyball Official (USAV, PAVO, IHSA) and referees college, high school and club volleyball tournaments on the weekends. Weimer played on the USA Men’s Deaf National Volleyball team in Australia, MVP for the Pan Am Games in Venezuela, and has competed in the NIU Men’s Volleyball Club Program. His amazing wife, Lisa and Coach Weimer live in Sycamore and love doing small fun projects to make their place homely. Their three children, Quinn (12), Andie (8), and Asher (6) are simply amazing. Coach Weimer loves racing, reading leadership books, and building projects in his spare time. In addition, he coaches the Kaneland 8th grade girls volleyball team and consults coaches and players at Top Flight. In 2017, Weimer also assisted varsity coach Lindsey Hawkins with the girls program as a JV coach and enjoyed the state run finishing 4th in State at the 4A level. The 2022 Boys Campaign finished with a hard fought loss to #2 seed Barrington in Regionals. The North Stars are looking forward to competing in the DuKane Conference along with some new non-conference matches this upcoming season.
