August 1, 2025: Most college applications open.
August 19, 2025: Counselors present to Senior Econ/Civics/American Agenda classes for postsecondary planning
August 20, 2025: Senior College Admission Night, 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. in the SCN Auditorium
September 17, 2025: Financial Aid Night, at St. Charles East High School - 6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m. in the Norris Cultural Arts Center
October 1, 2025: FAFSA opens
November 1, 2025: Most Early Action Deadlines; be sure to check your deadlines!
February 15, 2026: Typical filing deadline for FAFSA for colleges for best financial aid consideration
April 30, 2026: Final Transcript meetings with your counselor - MANDATORY
May 1, 2026: Decision Day, make your deposits and decide on your school
May 12, 2026: Grad Group Meetings after school - MANDATORY
May 15, 2026: Graduation Practice at 7:30 AM - MANDATORY
May 18, 2026: Graduation at 7:30 p.m. at NIU
