Choir Audition Information

All students who wish to be considered for either Chorale or Chamber Choir for the 2019-2020 school year must complete an audition. All of the information is listed below. Everyone auditioning is required to complete the entire audition and to perform to the best of their ability. Make sure to pay attention to as much detail as possible.

1. Sign up for an audition time slot with Mr. Gregerman.

Auditions will be: Friday, December 14, 2018 time TBD

Monday, December 17, 2018 before school or during school by appointment only

Tuesday, December 18, 2018 before, during or after school by appointment only

Wednesday, December 19, 2018 before, during or after school by appointment only

2. Sing "America, The Beautiful" in the appropriate key for your voice part. You will be required to sing this piece a cappella.

3. Sing the excerpt from your choir class for your voice part. If you are currently not in choir then please see Mr. Gregerman for more information. Do the best that you can on everything. Notes, rhythms, and general musicianship are the most important part of the audition. There will be very little or no piano accompaniment for these pieces.

4. Sight-read an example provided for you at the audition. Here is a website you can practice your sight-reading at: www.sightreadingfactory.com

5. Bring a signed copy of the Chorale/Chamber Choir Expectations to your audition.
