For 26 years I taught in the same room at Niles West - first it was room 344 and then they renumbered all the rooms to have four digits, and it is now 3410. This summer, all the rooms in the science wing are being remodeled and 3410 will be a chem room next year. I will be in 3425.
HERE is an architects rendering of what 3425 will look like next year.
Here is room 3410 in October of 2015.
It looked much the same until about three weeks ago when we started packing.
Here is what it looked like on May 23rd, all packed and ready to go!
And the contractors took out my window to serve as a portal for construction supplies! That was surreal.
Thanks to all the wonderful and creative students who shared their talent with me and provided me with a daily remembrance of them. I miss you all! Come see me in my new digs next year in 3425!
