Returning Student Registration

To ensure accurate enrollment, Wauconda CUSD 118 requires all new students to undergo a residency verification process for students entering Grades 6 and 9 ONLY.

Proof of Residency

1. • You must provide the required number of documents from both categories below. All documents must reflect your current address within the District.

Category I: Primary Proof of Residence (one document required)

• Most recent property tax bill (homeowners)

• Mortgage papers/Mortgage Interest (homeowners)

• Signed and dated lease (renters)

• Letter from manager (trailer park residents)

• Letter of residence from landlord in lieu of lease (7:60-AP2, E1)

• Letter of residence to be used when the person seeking to enroll a student is living with a District resident (7:60-AP2, E2)

Category II: Secondary Proof of Residence (two documents required)

• Driver’s license

• Vehicle registration

• Voter registration

• Most recent cable television and/or credit card bill

• Current bank statement

• Current public aid card

• Current homeowners/renters’ insurance policy and premium payment receipt

• Most recent gas, electric, and/or water bill

If your circumstances are different than those listed above, please contact your school’s office.

Important Notice: The School District reserves the right to evaluate all evidence presented. Providing the items listed above does not automatically guarantee admission if residency cannot be verified to the District’s satisfaction.
