Comedic Options:
Lucy “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”:
“Do you know what I intend? I intend to be a queen. When I grow up I’m going to be the biggest queen there ever was, and I’ll live in a big palace and when I go out in my coach, all the people will wave and I will shout at them, and…and…in the summertime I will go to my summer palace and I’ll wear my crown in swimming and everything, and all the people will cheer and I will shout at them… What do you mean I can’t be queen? Nobody should be kept from being a queen if she wants to be one. It’s usually just a matter of knowing the right people...well…if I can’t be a queen, then I’ll be very rich then I will buy myself a queendom. Yes, I will buy myself a queendom and then I’ll kick out the old queen and take over the whole operation myself. I will be head queen.”
SpongeBob:
No, Mr. Krabs! I’ll find a way to stop that volcano! WE’ll use science, like Sandy said. We can use her jetpack to get to the top! Wait, pretty sure it’s only built for one. I guess everyone was right. This will be the end…. unless I can stop it. Gotta get my team together. I am not a Simple Sponge. We’ll have to climb it, then. Patrick can help with that. He’s super strong. Sandy’s brains plus Patrick’s brawn plus my ... I’m not sure what my thing is. But that won’t stop me. When the going gets tough, this sponge gets going. I’m not a simple sponge! We won’t have to leave Bikini Bottom after all. I’m putting together a team to save our town! I am not a simple Sponge. But I can’t do this…I can’t do this – Let not the sand of time seep into your shorts – for it shall chafe. Give me the Erupter. OK One, two, three!
Dramatic Options:
Class Action By Brad Slaight Dennis:
My name is Dennis Gandleman. Around this school I am the object of ridicule simply because I have an extremely high IQ. It’s 176. My father wanted me to enroll in a special school that deals with geniuses like myself, but Mother was firmly against that. She wanted me to have a normal education, and not be treated as some kind of freak…..Which is ironic, because that’s exactly what is happening to me here. The whole concept of education is a paradox: High School is supposed to celebrate education and knowledge, but what it really celebrates is social groups and popularity. In a perfect world, kids like me would be worshipped because of my scholastic abilities, instead of someone who can throw a forty-yard touchdown pass. But I am bright. I know something that the others don’t….That, once we leave High School and enter the real world, all the rules change. What matters is power. Financial power. Power that comes from making a fortune on cutting-edge computer software. Software that I am already developing. Some call me a nerd. I call myself ahead of my time. See you on the outside.
The Sound of Music: (Maria)
Your children are just unhappy little marching machines. Take Liesl for example. Liesel isn’t a child anymore! And if you keep treating her as one, you’re going to have a mutiny on your hands! And Friedrich – Friedrich is afraid to be himself – he’s shy, he’s aloof, he needs your confidence! And then there’s Brigitta she notices things. She always tells the truth – especially when you don’t want to hear it. Kurt – Kurt is sensitive, he’s easily hurt, and you ignore him! You brush him aside just like you do all the others! I haven’t finished yet! Louisa, Louisa wants to have a good time. Oh please Captain, let her have a good time! Marta – Marta I don’t know about yet but someone has got to find out 5 about her! And Gretl, oh little Gretl just wants to be loved! Oh please captain, love them, love all of them, they need you!
