How do you manage yourself when you are feeling low, upset, frustrated or just not in a good mood? Well, that's when coping skills come in handy. Coping skills are strategies, we use to help us feel better and help deal with our emotions. Below is a list of coping skills that you can try.
-Take a walk or break (sometimes having some quiet time can really help to deal with your emotions) (Remember to ask for permission to take a break- adults need to know where you are especially parents and teachers)
-Draw or color
-Listen to your favorite song, musician
-Write in a journal
-List all the things you are grateful for
-Talk to a trusted friend or adult
-Dance to your favorite tune
-Watch your favorite funny movie (Mine is Shrek!)
-Watch inspiring movies, videos
-Remind yourself emotions come and go you will overcome whatever you are feeling
