About the teacher...
I was born and raised in the Cupertino area. Like some of my previous students, I attended Blue Hills Elementary. From there, I went on to Miller Middle School and Lynbrook High School. I graduated from University of California at Davis with a B.S. in Managerial Economics. I received my multiple subject credential and Masters in Interdisciplinary Education from Santa Clara University. This will be my 23rd year teaching and my 21st at Kennedy Middle School. Prior to Kennedy, I taught ELD at John Muir Elementary in Cupertino as well.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love everything and anything that has to do with sports. Some other hobbies of mine include cooking, watching movies, and trying out new, tasty, and scrumptious restaurants.

Mission for the class...
My goal is for my classroom to be an environment in which students can feel safe, respected, and challenged. Students will be encouraged to try their best, to ask questions when they don't understand, and to be more concerned with the process of learning instead of just the end product. Students will also learn valuable life skills this year which will enable them to live confidently and independently in their future endeavors. Lastly, this year will be a time for students to be themselves and have fun while learning the curriculum as well. I know for parents and students alike, the transition to middle school may be a scary unknown entity, but I am determined to have students in my village make a smooth transition into Kennedy Middle School. Cheers!
