As an educator I have had the opportunity to work both indoors and outdoors, with elementary age students up through high schoolers. While I enjoy teaching in many different settings, I like middle school the best! I attended UC Santa Cruz for both undergraduate and graduate school. When I lived in Santa Cruz, I worked on a native plant restoration project at Younger Lagoon Reserve, and was the co-director of an A Cappella group that performed locally and around California. When I'm not in the classroom, you might find me outdoors on a hike, taking care of my various pets, or teaching a UJAM Dance Fitness class at my local gym! This year, I look forward to getting to know you better as we make some fascinating discoveries together in science class!
Check me out at the Zoo Berlin and in the town of Miltenberg, Germany:
Here I am at Castle Rock State Park around 6 am, about to set out on a 31 mile hike to Cowell State Beach. My crazy friends and I did it all in one day (not recommended!) I was very proud of myself, even though my legs were useless for three days after!
