Help your child find Spanish words in newspapers and magazines, on labels on different products or at different stores.
Purchase books and music in Spanish. (You may ask me for some suggestions).
Keep in touch with me to inform you what your child is learning.
Encourage but not force your child to speak Spanish at home.
Let your child know you are happy about his/her progress.
Try to give your child opportunities for participating in some aspects of the Spanish culture by taking him/her to museums, performances, fairs, etc.
Talk to the class about a memorable trip to a Spanish-speaking country.
Speak to the class in Spanish.
Demonstrate a craft related to Hispanic cultures.
Provide (or demonstrate how to prepare) food from a Hispanic cultures.
Share a special area of knowledge related to Hispanic cultures.
