Coach Announcements:
Away Game Expectations/Guidelines:
Players are expected to stay for every away varsity game and cheer on their program teammates while watching their positions and continuing to learn the game. This is also where a lot of bonds and good memories are created amongst the team.
Players will be able to shower and change in the provided visiting locker room so they should bring necessary towels/soap/etc. to shower.
Players have been instructed to bring an appropriate change of clothes based on weather conditions for after the game (Preferably Mustang Football Apparel/Coat/Rain gear when needed)
Players should bring snacks/food/money for concessions at away games. Food deliveries are not allowed at visiting schools.
Except when getting food (always with at least one teammate) at the concession stand, players are to always remain in the visiting bleachers/stands. At no point should they be anywhere near the other teams stands/bleachers/side. (This would be a possible safety issue and will not be tolerated).
At the conclusion of the varsity game, the players will help load the bus with equipment and we will head back to DGS Mustang Country via the yellow buses.
If for some extenuating circumstance, your player needs to leave and is unable to stay for the varsity game, communication is needed via e-mail prior to our sophomore game and I need to know who the player will be leaving with and at what time. The player will need to check out with me after the game and I will need to see the parent/guardian as well that is taking them home. This has been in place for years by our AD office and is a major safety/supervision protocol.
Attendance Reminders & Guidelines:
Players are expected to be at every practice and communicate any absence before practice. (I ask that the player send me a hudl message or e-mail and the parent send me an e-mail as well to excuse the practice w/reason for missing.
We will practice EVERY DAY (other than Sundays) until our last game. This includes every Saturday and days with no school or early dismissal.
Players have been told they are making a commitment to the team and every player has a role and job to do.
If players miss practice, they risk losing playing time and if they choose to no longer make the above commitment, they will be choosing to no longer be a part of the team.
Coach Molinari and/or myself will go over more details at Meet the Team.
Important Dates for "Pre-Season" :

One final reminder regarding weather: Last season, due to excessive heat/weather conditions, there were a few days that we had to shift to before school morning practices in order to practice at all. This is a possibility again this season if similar weather conditions return. We will do our best to let you know as soon as this happens and will always monitor the forecast to hopefully give families as much time to plan for this as possible. (We had perfect attendance for our back-back morning practice days last season!).
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions! We appreciate your support now and throughout the season!
HIT HARD!
