IMPORTANT UPDATE: IHSA CHANGES & SUMMER CAMP CHANGES as of 5/18/26
The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) changed requirements and start dates for the upcoming football season due to a higher-than-expected number of teams qualifying for the playoffs. The IHSA Medical Committee has mandated additional practices before the first game and moved the official start date to Wednesday, August 5—five days earlier than the August 10 start date we originally planned. Please review the updated summer schedule below. We are doing everything we can to avoid conflicts with other sports and activities, but please adjust schedules as much as possible so players can attend all camp dates. Communicate any conflicts ahead of time.
KEY SUMMER DATES
IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED - Illinois Wesleyan Camp is a key part of our summer for all varsity and sophomore players. Players are coached up in individual skills, 7v7, and lineman challenges while competing against area teams and building team bonds throughout the week. They also stay in college dorms and get a brief experience of college life through a tradition our program has valued for over 20 years.
