Overview of Delivery Services 

Are you going to install your stove or fireplace yourself? Already have an installer lined up? Then maybe all you need is a delivery. The Cracker Mill offers complete delivery services for all of their products. Here is a quick review of the various delivery services we offer. Delivery - Drop off

This type of delivery is similar to standard freight delivery services. We will unload your products from our truck and put them carefully on your property, either in a garage or on a ground-level patio. This level of delivery does not include inside the house delivery unless the access is clear and easy, similar to a garage space. No steps or ramps. This level of delivery is priced at a lower cost and should be used only by those who have the means to move a heavy stove to the install location by themselves. If you need us to place your stove or fireplace on or near the install location you should purchase one of the other levels of delivery outlined below.

Drop off deliveries can usually be scheduled for a single delivery man or scheduled for the technician's crew while they are already in the area doing service calls. This level of delivery is intended to be a quick in-and-out and the delivery truck will be on a tight schedule. You should be there to accept delivery and sign off on the paperwork.

Delivery to Hearth Location

Delivery to the hearth location includes delivery of your product inside your house and placement near the hearth. The product may be un-boxed but you will be responsible to place the stove into it's final location

This level of delivery will normally include stairs and ramps, if required, and will be scheduled for a two-man crew. If the delivery is especially difficult or requires special equipment there will be additional charges added to the standard delivery charges. To avoid additional charges you should prepare the path to the hearth location ahead of time to allow easy access, or provide the needed equipment yourself. The delivery crew reserves the right to refuse delivery to the hearth due to unsafe conditions.

Delivery and Setup

We offer delivery and setup for our customers who may be installing the unit themselves but want help assembling accessories and options such as  legs, pedestals, doors, faces, surrounds, blowers, firebricks, firebacks, heat sheilds, collars, stones, etc.

This level of service includes delivery to the hearth location where the legs or pedestal will be attached (if needed), and then placed on the finished hearth, or on a fireplace riser.  We recommend that your hearth is completed at least enough to allow the stove or fireplace be placed in it's final position.  If your hearth is not finished we will place the stove or fireplace near the hearth and then once your hearth is ready you will be responsible to place the stove into it's final location.

Any additional setup beyond the legs or pedestal will be performed as requested (doors, firebricks, etc.). Delivery and Setup services will be charged at hourly rates.  This level of service will be scheduled for a two-man crew.

Note - setup does not include setup of vent pipe or hookup to any chimney. Any pipe connections require the purchase of at least a "Hookup" service, which is an Installation service. The delivery crew reserves the right to refuse setup on hearth if code violations are evident either in the hearth or the chimney. Consult an estimator if hearth or chimney services are needed.
