About Bill

Mr. Folman grew up in Connecticut and then attended college and grad school in Massachusetts before a 10 year stint in Los Angeles. While in LA, he taught in public and private schools, met and married his wife, and ate oranges off the trees in his backyard. He moved back to Massachusetts in 2014 and currently lives a long commute away in the lovely town of Bedford. Aside from his love of teaching history and his obsession with politics, his passions are mostly creative in nature. He has experience as a writer, a filmmaker, a singer, an actor, and an improvisorand he has been known to unconsciously start speaking in foreign accents. He is the father of three amazing boys. This is his eighth year of teaching at Vassal Lane.
