CPS Athletic Department holds our coaching staffs to the highest professional standards and adheres to guidelines, policies and procedures as outlined by the OHSAA. Our expectations and requirements for coaching in the CPS district are as follows:
ALL COACHES MUST READ THE COACHES MANUAL AND COMPLETE ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND CERTIFCIATIONS!
NOTE the following items are a MUST:
Coaches MUST have met with the AD and MUST have received the coaches onboarding cheat sheet when they come in. (Athletic Directors should make sure coaches have everything needed, make a copy of all certs and create a file for all coaches.)
Coaches MUST have all of the items on the Coaches Onboarding Document completed.
Coaches MUST obtain a CPS badge through the background check process and MUST have a valid ODE Pupil Activity Permit. Coaches should always have their CPS badge be visible.
