James Elwell

I am an economist on the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation. I received my Ph.D. in Economics at Cornell University in 2019. My research there focused on topics at the intersection of public finance and labor economics. I am particularly interested in tax policy, health insurance and health care, income and income inequality, and the provision of public services.
