Welcome Back!
I graduated from La Salle University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I received my Master’s Degree in Reading in 2018 from Northcentral University. I also just got my Wilson Reading, Level 1 Certification in spring of 2023. I moved to Ohio from New Jersey 19 years ago. I am married and have 3 children. Madelyn is 17 and is a senior at Columbiana High School and works at Whispering Pines in Columbiana. Thomas is 19, he is a freshman at YSU and works at the Duch Haus restaurant . Emily is 21 and is also working at Whispering Pines in Columbiana.
My hobbies are reading, listening to music, camping, kayaking, riding my bike and playing ball with our dogs Murry and Mona. I also like making crafts and playing board games with my kids. Our current favorite board game is Telestrations.
I have twenty-two years of experience teaching students at a variety of age levels, ability levels and socio-economic backgrounds. My experiences also included providing individual, small group and whole class instruction to students with learning disabilities, autism, multiple disabilities and those in need of emotional support. I have been teaching at Joshua Dixon for 17 years.
