Blizzard Bags
The school district can and has applied to the Ohio Department of Education for the option to make up three calamity days via online instruction or “Blizzard Bags” which make lessons and homework available at home. Through the Department of Education, a district may plan to make-up a maximum of three calamity days through “Blizzard Bags” (lessons that students take home) or online. Students can access the assignments online from their teacher’s webpage and/or their teacher will give them assignments when they get back to school. Students will have two weeks to turn them in. Lessons are based on current instructional progress and will count for a grade. Teachers will have lessons uploaded to their webpages by 11:00 a.m. on a calamity day. If a student does not have access to a computer at the student's residence and the lesson is on-line, the student shall be permitted to work on the posted lessons at school after school reopens or he/she will receive paper copies when they return to school.
