I am senior manager at the Regeneron Genetics Center. My research focuses are integrating large-scale genetic datasets (array and exome sequence data, single marker, multi-marker, gene sets and copy-number variants) with electronic medical record information.

I was formerly a researcher based at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT and part of the Genetics program within the Psychiatric Disease Initiative at the Stanley Center. My work focused on bioinformatic and statistical analyses of genome-wide association studies and next-generation sequencing datasets including; pathway and gene-based analyses, runs of homozygosity, copy-number variation, functional re-ranking of results etc.

I am also interested in population genetics using exome and array datasets. See my publications/brief CV for details.

I received a BSc in biotechnology from NUI, Maynooth ('02) followed by a PhD from RCSI ('06) and 3-years of post-doctoral experience at Trinity College Dublin with the Neuropsychiatric Genetics Research Group ('09) and 2 additional years of post-doctoral experience at MGH with Shaun Purcell and Pamela Sklar.
