Mrs. Opichka's Classroom Expectations

"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." - John Quincy Adams

It is very important to me that my students enjoy learning and enjoy their time here at school. It is necessary that all students have an opportunity to learn without distraction within my classroom. I only have 4 basic rules in my classroom.

1. Follow directions quickly

2. Raise your hand for permission to speak

3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat

4. Make smart choices

I also incorporate the “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” within my classroom.

Habit 1 – Be Proactive

Habit 2 – Begin With the End in Mind

Habit 3 – Put First Things First

Habit 4 – Think Win Win

Habit 5 – Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood

Habit 6 – Synergize

Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw

The students are not just here learning about our world, they are learning how to be responsible people who will be successful in the world that we live in. The students are expected to follow these expectations each and everyday.
