I earned my BA with dual concentrations in Metal Design and Photography from Meredith College, and my post-graduate Teaching Certificate from East Carolina University. I have worked in both mediums for many years, and have much professional experience in them, as well as in residential design. I have worked with students in Pre-K through 12th grades, in public and private settings, since 2007. Recently , I was awarded an artist residency at the Cleveland Institute of Art for my metals work. Sometimes I get crazy with a little painting or mixed media, just for kicks.

I'm from NC, so I say ya'll naturally. My 2 kids are pretty grown up. We have a cat with many dog-like behaviors. I love the beach, the mountains, and I never turn down chocolate. I sing in the car and at home, and not just in the shower. I've driven cross-country 3 times and I have had actual dreams about owning a Westy.
