About Mrs. Willsie...

Now that you're here, you are probably wondering who is Mrs. Willsie... There is a lot to tell!

I am starting my 25th year here at Tarpey Elementary School. Before coming to Tarpey, I taught kindergarten and first grade at Our Lady Of Victory School in Fresno. I made the move to Tarpey in October of 1999, to teach a combo class with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades all in the same room at the same time... What a year that was!

Since that year, I've spent a year teaching 2nd grade, five years teaching 3rd grade, and six years teaching 4th grade. Then I taught five years back in 2nd grade, a year with a 2-3 combo... (back where I started with a combo class) then back to 2nd grade for three years. The past two years I taught 3rd grade, and this year I am really excited to be joining the 2nd grade team once again!

Away from school, I become Mom and Nana. My husband and I have three children: Chelsea, Curtis, and Caleb. Chelsea and her husband Matt have 2 children, Noah and Hailey. Curtis is an artist, and Caleb is returning to Clovis Adult School in the AT program... He loves being at a school away from his mom where he's not a teacher kid!

We also have 2 rescue dogs, Bella and Bailey, who have very different personalities... Bella is quiet, low energy, laid back dog, while Bailey is our comic relief, always ready to play ball!
