Welcome!

I teach 7th grade science at Alta Sierra Intermediate. I was born and raised in Fresno and graduated from Clovis West High School. The 2023-24 school year will be my 8th year of teaching. I graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor of science in biology, then earned my single subject teaching credential in science, and I earned a masters in teaching, also at Fresno State. GO DOGS!

I am so excited to meet this year's students and their guardians! I believe one of the most important elements that we will need to make the year a success is communication; it is crucial that students and parents let me know if there is anything they need help with or if there is something you believe I need to know in order to meet your individual needs. I will do my very best to balance communication with students and parents without overwhelming you! 

Via google classroom, students can access class information directly if they are logged in to their school Gmail account, including the daily agenda, class assignments, and homework. Of course, if you ever need help with anything you can always talk to me in class or email me at lauraandrew@cusd.com.
