I was born and grew up in Hong Kong. I am so fortunate to have an opportunity to pursue higher level of education in the United States. I graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree (major in Entrepreneurship) from California State University, Fresno.
It was a life changing experience the last few years in Fresno. I married my husband in 2003 and started my new career as a teacher. I had come a long way to melt into this unique racial-mixed American culture and learn how to teach and build up relationship with students. I finished my teaching credential program and Master of Arts in Education (major in Curriculum and Teaching) from Fresno Pacific University.
In June 2014, I graduated with the PhD in Science and Mathematics Education at Curtin University, Australia.
I have been teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and Geometry at Alta Sierra Intermediate since 2005. I am very proud of being a member of the Bear Nation in 2016. I also taught Foundation of Algebra at Clovis Online School and Geometry at summer school. This year, I am going to teach Math 1 and 3 at Buchanan High School. I place a high value on individuality and strive to meet the needs of each student. I recognize the importance of trust and established relationships with students and parents that resulted in a safe and comfortable, yet challenging learning environment.
