About Mr. Gutilla

I'm going into my 24th year of teaching, all in CUSD. My first twelve years were spent in elementary school, the last eleven here at

Clark as a 7th grade Academic Block teacher. I graduated from CSU Fresno with a

Liberal Studies Degree, and then attended National University to earn my multiple-subject, K-8 teaching credential. I'm a

product of the CUSD system. I attended Temperance-Kutner Elementary, was a Clark Chieftain, and then graduated from

Clovis High School in 1982.

As you can see, I'm a proud, full-blooded Italian. I was born and raised in Fresno, California. I have two children. My

daughter Alicia is 35 years old, and is the Sophomore Learning Director at Washington Union High School. My son Vince is 33 years old,

and is a former United States Marine with two previous deployments to Iraq. Along with my fantastic children, I have two

beautiful grandchildren as well.

In my spare time, I love to root for my favorite sports teams. I'm an avid member of Raider Nation, season ticket holder since

2005. In baseball, it's the Oakland A's, basketball, it's all about the Philadelphia 76ers, and in hockey, it's the Philadelphia

Flyers. Even though I graduated from Fresno State, my loyalty and love is for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
