Respectful Assembly

In October, Pierson had a school-wide assembly to discuss respectful behavior. As part of the assembly, students were taught how to say "hello" in other languages. Students created and shared flags from their native countries to promote inclusion and student acceptance. In art, we have been doing multi-cultural art lessons to learn about different people around the world. Fourth graders began the year by learning about Peruvian art. Fifth graders are beginning a lesson on Japanese landscapes. Students from these areas of the world share their experiences with their peers to enhance the lessons.
