The team's research (Controlling the effects of antiscalants on the nucleation of highly soluble salts in reverse osmosis concentrate, link) is funded by National Alliance for Water Innovation (NAWI)!

Congratulations! Undergraduate research team (Colin Patricelli and Sean Mason) has been awarded Undergraduate Lightning Talk Sustainability Award (1st Prize) and Undergraduate Electrochemical Society Award in 2020 Summer eRAPS for their research project entitled "Hybrid Electrochemical Systems for Efficient Brackish Water Desalination".
Dr. Kim and co-PI Dr. Yang at Clarkson University have been awarded an AEESP Foundation educational grant to develop educational modules for providing K-12 students with information on the basic principles and engineering concepts behind the design of conventional and new water/wastewater treatment processes. We will work with Clarkson University Beacon Institute for Rivers & Estuaries (CU-BIRE) for delivering the modules to students in winter 2020 and spring 2021.

Undergraduate students (Colin Patricelli, Meg Wig, and Jaymes Suiter) have been awarded Sustainability Prize (Honorable Mention) in 2019 Summer RAPS (Research and Project Showcase) for their research project entitled "Electrochemical Ammonia Recovery for Improving Efficiency of Food Waste Anaerobic Digestion".
Dr. Kim has been awarded a research grant from New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I).
Dr. Kim won two Clarkson 2019 Ignite Graduate Research Fellowships Research Pilot Grants.
