NHS Candidate Information

All candidates need to join the NHS Google Classroom. All materials to be considered for membership will be available there and must be submitted there BY the provided due date. An E-mail has been sent to any student who is eligible to be considered.

COVID-19 Changes--The only change made to the candidate materials is to the rubric. The amount of community service hours has been lowered to 10. These hours can be earned from January 2020-November 10, 2020.

Selection Criteria

Scholarship: In order to get invited for consideration for membership to the Clarke County High School chapter of National Honor Society, students must have a GPA of 4.0

To select members for the criteria of Leadership, Service, and Character, the below evidence will be used:

  • Discipline records

  • Short Answer: leadership, service, and character experiences

  • Community service hours

  • Teacher recommendation forms

  • Student Activity forms (school and community activities and work experience)

  • OPTIONAL: An essay to explain any additional information of which you want the Faculty Council to be aware.
