Clarke Preschool fosters the love for books and reading daily in our classrooms. In a variety of ways families play an important role in encouraging the use of books and engaging in reading experiences. Two ways home and school can work together in this venture is spotlighted on this page. Read below to find out more about our unique Rocket Reader program and our partnership with Scholastic Book Club.
Rocket Reader Program
Rocket Reader Program
Our Rocket Reader program allows students to earn free books by reading at home. Students may color a rocket for each book read. When every rocket is colored in, the Rocket Reader form may be turned in to Mrs. Binning for the opportunity to choose a new book to keep and enjoy at home. Scholastic Book Orders
Scholastic Book Orders
Scholastic book orders go home towards the beginning of each month. Be on the lookout for the order forms in your child's backpack.
You can order online at scholastic.com/readingclub (you will need to enter our one-time Class Activation Code: J7JFP), where you’ll find a wide selection of quality children’s books that are just right for your child’s age and interests. You may also return your paper order form to me with a check made out to “Scholastic Reading Club”. When you place an order you help our class earn FREE Books and supplies with every order.
