Class format and expectations:
-Physical Education classes will focus around health related fitness and lifelong activities.
-For your safety, do not climb on or sit in the bleachers when they are closed.
-Students will only leave class by checking out through E-Hall Pass with the teacher.
-Students are not allowed in the storage room.
-Enter the gym and begin activity options on the near half of the gym. Walk while Advance Fit warms up. Begin the main activity when Advance fit leaves the gym. Walk or stretch the last 10 minutes of class.
Locker Room & Attendance:
-All students will be expected to wear or change into comfortable clothing and running shoes to participate safely and comfortably throughout class. Appropriate clothing includes: T-shirts, shorts, sweatpants and sweatshirts.
-Backpacks, iPads, books, cell phones and drinks other than water are not to be brought into the gym.
-Locker room will be locked before, during and after class.
-Students have 5 minutes to change for class if desired. Students are tardy after 5 minutes. After using the locker room at the end of the class, students are to return to the gym.
Cell phones:
Will be placed on the cart upon entering the gym per student handbook and State of Iowa code
HF 782 and returned when the bell rings.
Daily points = 10
6 - Participation:
2 pt deduction for not participating. .
2 pt deduction for not following activity rules and/directions
2 pts deduction for sitting out during class.
4- Dress:
-Changing for class is recommended for the student’s comfort and ability to fully participate.
-Inappropriate shoes and clothing limits the ability to engage with peers and activities.
2 pt deduction for no shoes.
-No boots, steel toe, high heel soles or bare feet.
2 pt deduction for not dressing appropriately.
-Appropriate dress is shorts, sweats, t-shirts, sweatshirts and athletic shoes.

I encourage you to email me during school hours - 7:30am-3:00pm. I will respond ASAP. I am NOT available from 3:00-6:30 due to athletics.
